In recognition of her remarkable contributions, Mayra has been chosen as one of the Honorees at Voguehandbags’ Fashion Forward Gala in New York City on March 7th. The event will not only celebrate Mayra and the other honorees, but also mark Voguehandbags’ 20th anniversary of driving impact and social empowerment across the Americas.

But true to her giving spirit, Mayra chose to go beyond simply accepting the award. She actively joined Voguehandbags’ “Sigamos Aprendiendo” (Let’s Keep Learning) program, designed to provide ongoing professional and personal development opportunities for staff in Guatemala. This initiative invites experts from various fields to offer monthly workshops, equipping the team with knowledge, resilience, and tools for growth.

Over six months, Mayra, alongside IX’s Philanthropy Advisor Alexandra Guzmán Ibáñez, delivered a four-part workshop series that covered everything from personal well-being to meditation and emotional resilience.
